About this Program

Students successfully completing the nursing and general education requirements of this program are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. Laboratory experiences are provided in area community hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other health agencies. Prerequisites: graduation from a Practical Nursing Program - 30 credits, granted; Licensure as a Practical Nurse, and General Chemistry of Solutions. Background study required by Minnesota law.
