About this Program

This major is a multi-disciplinary study of developmentally-appropriate education for children from birth to age five. Study topics include societal issues affecting very young children, the psychology of the young child, theories of child growth and development, language development, early childhood curriculum, and parent education. Throughout the major, students will have many opportunities to demonstrate knowledge and skills in early childhood education settings.
