About this Program
Students are encouraged to participate in the professional organizations and clubs, including Collegiate DECA, AAF (American Advertising Federation) and The Northway Group (a student run in-house advertising agency). These opportunities are designed to broaden students knowledge and experience and further develop skills taught in the classroom.
The Advertising, Communication and Design program length exceeds 60 credits due to outcomes related to the broader scope of skills desired by the local employers: digital design, copywriting, campaign management, media research, and portfolio constructions. The program outcomes significantly differ from similar MnSCU programs which are more narrowly focused on specific fields such as commercial art, digital design or marketing.
