About this Program

Pine Technical College's Plastic Technology Program was created in response to the industry demand in Central Minnesota for employee training and student education in plastics technology. Students will develop skills in the fundamentals of plastics, injection and extrusion molding processes, and electrical/hydraulics for plastics processing.

The Plastics Production Certificate introduces students to plastic molding along with common manufacturing processes used in the plastics industry. Students successfully completing the diploma will be skilled in the various plastics processes. Students who complete the Associates of Applied Science program take general education courses that help them enhance their ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and technology to industry problems.
