About this Program
You can complete this 17-credit Riverland program to earn a Machining Certificate in one semester. Our class size will give you easy access to the equipment and tools of the trade.
Students learn to fabricate parts by interpreting blue prints and using precision measuring tools. They will make parts to factory specifications and standards. Lathe and mill operation will be mastered by learning proper machine set up, including material speeds and feeds. Shop safety will be covered and the hazards involved using these machines.
