About this Program
The Marine Engine Technology AAS curriculum is designed to educate individuals to become competent marine technicians along with learning the skills needed for management and manufacturer technical positions. The primary focus of the program is the diagnosis, service and repair of outboard and stern-drive engines, with the understanding that the graduate of this program may need to explain the various systems to customers. Our students perform these services on modern marine products using special test equipment and tools. Students in this program will learn how to plan and perform repairs according to the various manufacturers' recommended procedures. This program is designed for the individual who is looking toward a long-term goal of management, technical manufacturer service, or business ownership.
