About this Program

Graduates of this program learn to code health care data using ICD and CPT coding principals and they learn how these skills contribute to other areas in the health care facility. They know how to navigate a health record and abstract information necessary to correctly code the medical information. They know the correct use of medical language and terminology and the effective use of software packages available. They value ethical and professional behavior in the workplace and the confidentiality of patient information.
