About this Program
In this program the student will study ways to control and prevent dental disease as well as teach patients preventative dental care. Training to expose and process dental x-rays as well as perform chair-side skills and state-expanded functions are covered. Students are prepared to take state and national written examinations required for registration and certification as dental assistants. A registered certified dental assistant becomes a member of the dental team, and finds employment in all types of dental offices. (Brainerd Campus).
