About this Program

This program includes the choice of three mathematically related degree tracks pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Graduates are prepared for graduate school or employment. The program emphasizes problem solving and communication skills, promotes the connection between mathematics and technology, and affords students the opportunity to join mathematically related professional societies and/or clubs. An honors project, participation in the national Mathematical Putnam Competition, or an internship are possibilities for many students.
