About this Program

The Fire Technology program provides an opportunity for students to obtain basic and advanced instruction in fire prevention, firefighting techniques, and rescue. Critical decision making is emphasized to ensure improvement in all aspects of fire technology, productivity, and safety. Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, Wildland Fire Fighting, and Fire Officer Level classes are available to enhance the knowledge base of fire suppression technicians. Completion of liberal education courses in the first year of this program is recommended to establish an academic foundation for technical courses.
