About this Program

This program prepares students for continued study in a baccalaureate degree program in computer science or computer information systems, as well as for positions in information technology, computer programming, software development and technical documentation. Students will learn the fundamentals of computer programming and acquire expertise in design, coding and testing development methodology. This degree transfers to the University of Minnesota (Bachelor of Information Networking) and Metropolitan State University (Computer Science and Computer Information Systems majors).
