About this Program

Education in the French language provides insight into the literature and culture of France. It also gives students a knowledge of language that enables them to work and travel in areas of the world where French is spoken. To facilitate these goals, the department sponsors a summer program in France. Students choosing to take advantage of this program, or who acquire language experience on their own initiative, may receive credit if arrangements are made in advance. The Department of Modern Languages offers the following French degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Teaching, and a French minor.
