About this Program

This program provides broad study of the world's peoples and cultures, including archaeology, behavior patterns, linguistics, evolution, development and physical anthropology. Secondary school teachers may also elect anthropology as a concentration for the social studies major. Field trip opportunities include participation in several regional excavations and studies of archaeological sites. Emphases exist in Archaeology and Cultural Archaeology.
