About this Program

This Certificate is designed to prepare the student to operate and maintain Steam Turbines and related equipment through classroom and hands-on training, and to fulfill the academic requirements to sit for the state of Minnesota 2A boiler exam. The license will allow the boiler operator to take charge of and maintain high pressure boilers and turbines in the petrochemical, food processing, refinery, and ethanol industries. Students will also need to accumulate additional hours to meet state requirements. Students must be able to perform physical tasks to complete course requirements.
