About this Program

A pedorthist is a health care professional who is specifically educated and trained to manage comprehensive pedorthic patient care. This includes patient assessment, formulation of a treatment plan, implementation of the treatment plan, follow-up and practice management.

This pedorthic certificate is designed to exceed the requirements established by the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) for a therapeutic shoe fitter pre-certification education and pedorthic pre-certification education. After meeting experience and eligibility requirements graduates can seek certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics.
