The ASL program program provides training for students who wish to learn basic American Sign Language and understand Deaf Culture. Upon completion of this program, a student will be able to communicate with Deaf and Hard of Hearing people at a basic level in various settings including health care, churches, court rooms, schools, and anywhere a deaf person might need assistance. Students who earn this certificate may choose to continue their studies in an Interpreter Program for ASL.
