About this Program

This program helps the student examine and interpret literature in English from a variety of viewpoints and understand the role of literature plays in human cultures. The program values diversity and incorporates courses in the literary classics, multicultural literature, working-class literature and environmental issues. Graduates will enhance their written and oral communication skills, as well as be prepared for careers in writing, editing, publishing, advertising, law, education, and business.
