About this Program

This program is designed to develop the students abilities to think clearly, carefully and critically about matters, both large and small, metaphysical and practical, political and personal. While the philosophy curriculum is primarily focused on practical philosophy that is usable in everyday life, the program's three emphases afford the flexibility to design courses of study that range from the metaphysically ethereal to the rubber-meets-the-road pragmatic.
