StarID Login Help

Reset your StarID password

  1. Go to starid.mnscu.edu and select StarID Self Service
  2. Select Forgot Password (reset password)
  3. From the Students list, select the option that works best for you. You must provide one of the following sets of information to verify your identity:
    1. Student ID (tech ID) and social security number, if on file at your school
    2. Library card barcode and social security number, if on file at your school
    3. Personal email address – must match the email address you gave to your school
    4. Verification code – given to you in an email from your school or by school staff
  4. Follow the instructions.

Once you have your StarID and Password, return to this site and log in using your StarID.

Activate your StarID

You must use your StarID to log into eServices. All current and most former Minnesota State Colleges and Universites students have a StarID. You must activate your StarID before you can use it.

  1. Go to starid.mnscu.edu and select StarID Self Service
  2. Select Activate StarID
  3. From the Students list, select the option that works best for you. You must provide one of the following sets of information to verify your identity:
    1. Student ID (tech ID) and social security number, if on file at your school
    2. Library card barcode and social security number, if on file at your school
    3. Personal email address – must match the email address you gave to your school
    4. Verification code – given to you in an email from your school or by school staff
  4. Follow the instructions.

Once you have your StarID and Password, return to this site and log in using your StarID.
