You will learn how to organize a strategy for finding information, how to use print and digital sources to locate information, and how to analyze and evaluate information found. This course fulfills the information literacy graduation requirement for students seeking an A.A. degree.

This course prepares students in basic information literacy skills. It includes practical techniques for Internet browsing and searching; how to find, evaluate, manage and use information from various information resources, including online databases and the World Wide Web. It also includes information about social networking services and their role in the creation and sharing of information. Prerequisites: CPTR1100, or instructor approval.
