This course explores the biological, psychology, and socioemotional factors that are associated with aging. The primary focus of the class is on older adulthood, though information will be presented from a lifespan developmental framework which includes consideration of the impact of prior development on later life. The course is also concerned with individual differences among older adults, the promotion of optimal functioning through the aging process.
